The Story

Every track and field athlete knows inconvenient spikes can be. Easily damaged and uncomfortable on non-track surfaces, spikes cost athletes their time and focus when they need to perform at their best.

The Problem

The User

Track and field athletes of all ages, in all events.

Often transitioning between the track and other surfaces at meets.

Needing a quick, convenient solution that won’t be a distraction.

Needing a product to protect their belongings from being scratched by spikes when transporting them.

The Design

A lightweight cover protects spikes from damage and allows an athlete to transition between surfaces. An accordion midsole allows the cover to expand, accommodating all size ranges and shoe designs.

TEKS is currently available for presale, worn in several D1 track and field programs across the country, and transitioning into larger scale manufacturing.

Visual Branding

Identification of visual elements representative of the brand.

Integration into product design details such as sole cover for cohesiveness.

Packaging Design

Created and applied patterns to enforce visual consistency across product and packaging.

Logo development aimed to synthesize key symbols.

Market storytelling to resonate with athletes. Relevant, authentic, compelling.

Marketing Material

Designed a variety of mockups, including website and social media content.

Researched online visuals of both complimentary and competitor brands to create engaging styles for our target audience.
