My work in ceramics explored the contrasting influences of Western and Asian culture in emotional manifestation. A a daughter of Indian immigrants raised in the United States, this collection was a personal exploration into how my two identities conflict when it comes to valuing and expressing emotions. Each piece featured precise construction of facial features, along with engravings that represented different cultural motifs.
